the car in that ad has a JDM valve cover. The cover is branded "honda" and that is a JDM OE oil cap (it's not aftermarket). Verifying that the engine is infact a B18C5 is very easy since it is stamped. This isnt something OP needs to guess at.

Yes the words at the bottom are tags, but why tag the photo with GSR if it is a Type R? I dont know? Just sayin'.

If it's a JDM engine it's a bit tougher to tell R vs. GSR. JDM R engines aren't stamped with a "5" (only USDM) - but there are other clues to figure out if you have a R or a GSR (green paint behind distributor, PR3 code (or something like that)).

If it is a JDM R engine I wouldn't care. If it's a GSR engine I'd use that against the seller. $10K for a car though...it's splitting hairs at this point. If you like it buy it.

I won't call you crazy, just uninformed.

the only problem is.. i am not sure i could justify spending that much on an integra.
It's more than an integra, really the ITR is more than the sum of the parts which I know sounds silly but you have to own one and track it for a while to get it -- but boy do the ergonomics suck. Straight out of the early 90's.

I would not touch this particular car, too much rice and too many parts missing. Stock with that mileage at 11 grand? Maybe. Then again the 00 and 01 cars are a bit quicker than the 97's.

^ ergonomics arent SO terrible if you swap the stock steering wheel with a deep dish omp wheel and use racing seats. but yeah, with the stock wheel and seats it's hard to get comfortable and heel and toe.

Anyone who would rather have an $11K S2K over an $11K ITR has never driven an ITR. So much more feel in the ITR chassis and steering, much more of a racing car than the S2K (even though it's slower).

I think he has a momo sterring wheel and the S2k seats. He has also the orginal type R seats but he told he s2k seats feel much better.

$11K could be justified if it was all original and untampered with. but there are some questionable things about this car that would make me pass.

, 11k just seems too much for an 12+ year old car....regardless of its condition...id say like $8k or somethin around there...maybe hell go for it?
