Great write-up. Nothing like doing a cross country trip in open roadster.

I too have been a big fan of the Atom since its first appearence on "Top Gear".
I notice on some of the pictures that the K20 engine isn't such a high rev'er as the S2000. Looks like almost a thousand rpm's lower at speed, I'm curtious how much torque this engine puts out.

fantastic documentation on the build. Just wondering, how much is the option for the supercharger. The option lists it as TBD

By the way, I've heard horror stories from another AA owner about the insurance. I see that you drive yours religiously, which is awesome. But have other companies started insuring the Atom? The other owner was staying that there is only one that will insure it and it's pretty pricey for the limited miles driven.

I don't know much about Honda motors especially compared to some of the crazies on this site, but if it's the same version of the K20 in the 8th gen Civic Si then it revs to 8000 stock and can safely rev to 8600 with a reflash/tune. It also has i-VTEC instead of dinosaur VTEC and in general responds very well to bolt-ons. A full bolt-on N/A K20 is slightly superior to a full bolt-on N/A F20/F22--it makes more power under the curve and slightly more peak power. Stock for stock the F20/F22 are more powerful however.

Unless you meant the RPMs at speed while driving--in which case that's all about how the Atom is geared. The motor itself is every bit as rev-happy as the F-series in the S2000.
