Inspiring to see someone achieve the dream I too have held since first seeing the Top Gear episode featuring the Atom in high school. The next stop after the S will definitely be the Atom, although it may take a few years to get to that point.

Great photos and writeup, I'm sure it was a blast!

Awesome write up.

I can never come up with a suitable s2000 replacement to upgrade to. Anything I come up with is 2x + more expensive than the s2000 and only seems marginally better. I'm already on my second s2000 so I know I would regret selling it again. Now I think until I can afford an Atom I should keep my s2000.

Nothing is more outrageous on the road than an Atom!

Absolutely awesome story! Thanks for sharing. The Atom has been one of my unicorns for years.

Reminds me of the time I saw three guys chilling in a Costco parking lot eating hotdogs on their way from Santa Barbara to San Diego. You just made them look like sissies

What brand are the new track wheels? They look a lot like my 5zigens but I bet they are a good deal lighter.

This is awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I got on ebay motors to see if any were on sale... There was. At the time, I just cant justify owning such a car. One day...

Awesome write up and thank you for sharing! I enjoyed reading.

As I was reading, other than being on 4 wheels, the experience I assume is very similar to a superbike. Being opened (more than convertible), with the freedom you feel and also power weight ratio. There are a lot people who only drive a car just don't understand.

Congrats to you and have fun.
