I am replacing a u-joint on my mom's xterra and i was wondering if any of you would have any insight on the subject. There is a little hole on the u-joint which i'm expecting grease to go in. What kinda grease is suppose to be used just for a normal truck universal joint, and does it go inside the joint, any help would be great. thanks

Have you tried freshalloy.com? A dedicated Nissan forum would propably be more effective. Not trying to be rude...

I've actually tried the Xterra owners club forum, but through the search i have not found enough info, just seeing if any owners here have dealt with a u joint before.

grease gun. Not many choices there for grease, just get the most expensive, as the stuff is really cheap.

Does it have a grease nipple (zerc fitting? sp.?). If yes, then the standard grease gun grease. If not, maybe you shouldn't be messing with it. Check with Nissan service dept. for confirmation.

Yeah it has a grease nipple, and I have to replace the U-Joint because it's been clicking and is messed up creating a bad vibration.
