Better than pulling a GM and letting people die while pretending there isn't a problem.

I LOVE to bash Chrysler for this kind of stuff because having owned a few that were all crap, I can relate. However this is not really a big deal in my eyes. Cars have a million parts and it become difficult to forsee every issue that can arise when constantly developing new models to stay competitive. It is when recalls pile on top of each other endlessly that I get concerned.

+1 x 1,000,000

But are they sure it's a fuel leak and not just really bad MPG? 707HP + WOT probably drains the tank much like a large hole would.

I am (NOT) surprised this has not been on headlines at all.

Tesla has a few cars where owners do stupid stuff and get their cars on fire. The whole world screams its the next Pinto. While a hot rod model gets a pass.

(to the news media)

People are constantly bringing up the fact that the 911 GT3s were recalled after one caught on fire.

Your examples are of completely different things one caught on fire the other had a fuel leak and that's it. So no " hot rod" models do not get a pass.

Honda recalled almost a million Odysseys for the same thing last year. No one mentioned it here though, and it didn't really get national press.

Tesla however, everyone made a big deal over.
