Drive a Ford to work or else...
So let's say I were to drive a Toyota and just recently got hired at a Ford plant. Just because I get a new job now means I have to buy a new car as well? What if I'm not in the financial position to do so? Is Ford going to give me one for free?

She drives an Excursion Turbo, her mom has a Vette and her bro has a vette
This really isn't that big of a deal. If you work at Nike, I think they have a policy on what shoes you CAN'T wear to work.
Of course, nobody complains because wearing Nikes doesn't carry the same stigma as driving a Ford

Not everyone can drive a Ford Shitpile to work, and still have whatever they actually want to drive for their off time.
And it is easy to take pride in your work, while not wanting to use the product. I could be the best damn guy in the world at attaching the steering wheel to a minivan, but if I am a sports sedan fan, there are no sports sedans Ford makes that I'd really want to buy. Doesn't mean I don't work hard, it just means I'm not interested in their product. You can extrapolate it to anything...does the dude that attaches the string to the tampon have no pride in his work because he refuses to use Tampax?

And there in a nutshell is the problem. Unskilled labor on an assembly line should not be paying enough to afford anything beyond an economy car.
you know, if someone ever said to me "or else," I'd be thinking of something a bit harsher than "park across the street." Basically, what they are saying is one lot, closer to the building, is for Ford group vehicles, and the other is for everythng else. Hardly draconian. It is their lot, and it appears at least some of the employees are supporting such an arrangement, so wtf is the big deal? Mountain out of a molehill, anyone?
I was driving by a prosthetic limb factory the other day, and saw that the parking spots closest to the door are for handicapped people only. What a crock! As if people are supposed to go out and damage their bodies irrepairably just so they can work there :grrr:
