Weight of the rim will depend on the type of rim. If for instance you have a car like my S4, the stock 18"s weigh about 36 pounds. I could go out right now and buy some forged 20"s that weigh under 25 pounds. Plus the tire will weigh less. Same would go if you get 22" forged rims as well. Plus you will usually get a wider rim on the bigger rim as well. So bigger contact patch, so handling in most cases is better, otherwise a Honda Insight would be the best handling car. The only bad thing is more drag, and slower acceleration.
