Default Emissions problems on 06-07 Hondas

I stopped at the local repair shop and was talking to my mechanic because he is working on my problem vehicle - 96 Nissan 4wd. He was saying some of the new Hondas are having problems passing emissions or something of that nature. Has anyone here heard of or experienced this? Just wondering what models are having the problems ???????

06 or 07 shouldn't have to get a smog yet. I don't think any owners would know first hand.

I had a 97 Honda and I got a letter that extended emissions warranty of 96-00 models (or somethign like that) to like 10 years or something. That's the only "problem" I can think of. If there are problems with 06-07 it should be covered under the 30k miles warranty.

In most states the 'smog' test is an OBD read looking for codes and misfires which would indicate a CEL. My guess is that this rumor is fabricated and not true.

06-07 is too new to need testing here. My 01 was just tested for the first time last month. The tailpipe sniffer read 0 for everything except CO2.
