EVO vs S2000
Also I've noticed pretty much every track/course record seems to have an EVO in them top 5 etc.
Plusgetting the EVO is backseats, another set of doors, bigger trunk and AWD which means all year driving
Very conveniant compared to s2k as I only have one garage.
Can you tell I'm excited about EVO IX!!!!

Hey! I just trade my 03 EVO 8 for a brand new 06 S2K. It's been two weeks and I don't regret changing to the rear wheel drive roadster. At the beginning I had mixed feelings and some times I miss the sound of the turbo spooling once you hit 3.5 rpm's. But every day I love more my S2K and I think less in my EVO.
But if you are in the racing business stay with the EVO. As I mentioned before in this forum the EVO and the S2K are in two different categories.
Making a direct comparison on this two vehicles won't be fair for each one individually. Both cars are "champions" in their categories......
I love my S2K......

I was planning on getting an evo before I got my04 but then I was deathly afraid of reliability issues considering its a mitsu, maybe because I had one that I bought used(95gst) and was nothing but problems after one another even after I basically changed out the entire motor.....also one month after I got my S my local mitsu dealer went out of business and the closest one was 2 hour away, the distant alone wouldof killed any warranty work if I needed it....

That article is very biased and I wouldn't take what it says to heart. I'll tell you what tho, I went from an S2000, to an STi, then back to an S2000. I know it's just my opinion but it felt so good and right to get back into an s2000. If you're a speed freak, then you might want to stick with the Evo. My STi was super fast, and when I first drove the s2000 again, it felt like I was driving a golf cart, but I quickly got used to it and I love it. They are both very good and capable cars, but also very very different.
I went from an S2K to EVO then back to S2K and is now more satisfied. "TO ME" i repeat "TO ME" power isn't everything.
I went from the Evo to the S2000. I have not regretted it too much. My Evo was heavily modified and it was very fast. I really like the S though. It all depends on what you want to do with the car. I would take the S over the Evo any day of the week.

there are lots of owners who switched from s2ks to EVOs on there to.
