actually your original post is 100% true....there is only one s2k model....the base lancer is a huge POS, ugly as sin, and just horrid..the impreza isn't as bad but not much better....the STI and EVO ARE base models with lots of factory modding....whether anyone likes it or not the S is in a league beyond those two cars....straightline speed is only one dimension of a car but yet so many people think it is everything; that is why their primative brains like turbo cars....I know more about straightline speed than most of you...before my S I had a heavily modified '94 Supra...I know what balls deep fast is...and quite frankly it gets boring real quick....when I got my S and started doing real driving that utilized the whole car, my eyes were opened...hopefully some of you realize what you have in your S...i have driven and evo and sti aggressively...they aren't bad, but not on par with the S...sure their motors give greater accelaration, but they should because they are force fed...So, flame me all you want...i like it
