Default evo x

I been driving my cousin's Evo X for a few days now.. and i have to say.. its an awesome car.. the ride/suspension with those seats are so comfortable but yet the car handles without the stiff ride ( compared to the S )
around 3500 it starts to boost and man does it throw you in the seat.. and the best part is im barely on the throttle. i have to say its an amazing car. after owning the S for a while im starting to get bored of it.. lol and the Evo is starting to grow on me.
i just like to share my experiences and in the future i might be trading in the S for the EVO since i dont think i wanna keep both.. even tho i know i can afford both.. but its not not necessary ..

have you driven the evo 8/9? i haven't driven a X yet but most consider the turbo kick to be relatively weaker...that said couple of bolt-on's and a tune should wake the X up pretty well

i saw a white Evo X today on the freeway, dropped on some suspension, wingless, and tinted tail lights. it looked absolutely menacing, i love it.

going from the s2000's near-perfect 6spd to the Evo's 5spd or SST (iirc that's what it's called) will probably disappoint you though

i have driven my friends Evo 9 MR with a few mods .. like boost control and exhaust.. i think he had it at 23 pounds when i drove it.. since it was not stock.. my friends EVO 9 MR turbo kicks alot hard and i do agree with you that the X is a little weaker but coming from a N/A S i cant complain lol
yea the only thing i dont like about the EVO X is the 5 Speed . i go thru them sooo fast lol
heard something about the EVO X MR will have a 6 speed

Take your S to a trackday, that should help rekindle the connection.

The S has straightline performance that's pretty comparable to the X's. The X is a 14.0s car, trapping at ~100mph. It's the power delivery that's different. The X has that thick turbo torque in the mid range, but doesn't have the top end of the S.

after driving over 300 miles on the X in 3 days.. its alot of work to drive it.. shifting comes quick just driving it normally lol. pretty stiff clutch as well.
after a couple of twisted roads.. the S does handle better.. because the X feels a little soft but i know i can keep on the throttle with no problems thanks to it being AWD haha

since the S is paid for.. i might just get another toy lol or boost the S, i just need to drive a boosted S before i can decide which is the better route
