Default Finally made a decision

After months of not being able to decide on my next car, I finally chose one today: 2001 Porsche Carrera 4. I was originally considering a Lotus Elise, 2007 Sti, C6 Vette, or Audi S4 (v8).

S4 I realised would get incredibly boring after a while. C6 got bad reviews in interior and handling. Sti has 4 doors, least attractive. Elise is another torqueless wonder and incredibly impractical.

Almost went with the Elise, but once I layed eyes on this beautiful black Carrera with a gorgeous interior I couldn't resist buying it. AWD is a nice bonus too.

Unfortunately I still have to keep the s2000 since it's not worth that much (Carmax offered 8000, another dealership offered 10000).

Only been driving the Carrera for a few hours today. Handling is superb. The power isn't exactly overwhelming, but it's definitely fast. I used to have a 1993 Twinturbo RX7, so that is probably the main reason the Carrera doesn't feel incredibly fast. Braking is great. The Boxer engine sounds very nice at 4500+ rpms, but doesn't quite match the sound of a 13B (rotary) at 6000+ rpms. IMHO

Nice! Should make for a fun DD! I'd reccomend doing oil changes more frequently that Porsche's reccomended OCI. I found that my 986S drove much better with 4000 mile OCIs. Also, a full exhaust does wonders for those engines! Both sounds, and driving experience. REALLY opens up the engine. Much faster reving.

I like it but I gotta say, those egg yolk/amoeba headlight housings is the worst design decision by Porsche.

wow, thats a really nice car bro! nice find!

the P-car is nice. the only think i want to mention is that the C6 handles amazing, i dont now if you got a chance to drive one. but i cant blame you, if i had the chance to pick up a 911 in that kinda shape, itd be hard to pass up.
