I don't know if you're looking for used cars, but have you thought about the EP3 Si ('02-'05)?

It's a hatch like a Fit, sorta looks like a Fit (or is it the other way around since it came first?), has more power than a Fit, and it doesn't feel as cramped as a Fit. It might not be as tossable but it makes it up with not losing its breath as fast as the Fit. Also, it can carry a whole lot of stuff... like the Fit. The only downside compared to the Fit is probably the mileage (although it isn't too bad) and that it only has 2 doors. However, you should be able to pick one up for cheaper than a new/slightly used Fit.

Otherwise, it makes a great daily driver and is adequate in the snow, especially with snow tires.

Wifey and I have an 07 Fit as our DD and we love it. It is so much fun, tossable, great on gas..we avg about 32 and got 39 on our trip to Maine this summer. Handling is real nice since it doesn't weigh anything, it's pretty slow but fine for around town. I use mine in the snow and it has no problems, tires are pretty skinny and it's light. We got the 5AT and you can manually start it in 2nd so that helps a bit. I would recommend it 100% and would buy another in a second.

Good to hear. I was waiting for some avid Fit fans to chime in.

Some of my concerns are that, in order to get some of the features I am used to, I will have to pay much more than base MSRP. While, on the other hand, decent, reasonable mileage QX4s and 325s are going for 10-13. Below that of this car--with many more features.
Obviously, 3series vs Qx4.
Sedan (favored) vs SUV

Gas vs GAS

reliability? vs Reliable

So I am, once more, stumped.

Pretty much the same sentiments except ours is an '08. Love it.

Okay all, new car to the list that I'm thinking about getting.

'03 A4 Quattro w/ ~50k miles.

My only concern is reliability? I know it's not a Honda, but am I going to get screwed with this car? I know the previous owner, and he has had no problems with it.

EP3 was my previous car. I would not recommend it for mileage. 23-24 average.

My current daily driver is a 93 civic. $1500 and it gets max 45 mpg when driven correctly. If you run it hard, 35 mpg. 218,000 miles and it's still bulletproof, knock on faded, oxidized hood!
