Too bad they couldn't use 93 octane. Regardless, this is one strong pony.

Ha, that could be. It could be anything. I spoke to someone who was close to the project about 10months ago. He didnt mention anything about it being underrated. He did say they left a good 35hp on the table easily attainable from a cheap tune and 93 octane. I can't wait for them to test drive it next week! Oh that sound.

I actually really like where Ford is going with this. Lets not make the most power, lets show people that we know how to use it. IMO it works, but I am sure there will be plenty of people with mullets and Toby Keith cassettes who say "I'll take the one with more POWER!!"

<------- As I have owned at least one of every generation of Camaro (excluding the new one) I believe I have the right to make fun of my own kind

^ What they did with the 03-04 Cobra was beyond underrating. Those things were putting almost as much to wheels as they were rated for at the crank

6850rpm fuel cut huh? They got their V8 revving to almost 7 grand. Impressive for a stock domestic. I like.

^ I was not aware of that, haven't been following any car news (non S2000 Aftermarket at least) except the FT86 lately. Cool.

Fuel cutoff is actually 7,100rpm on the LS7.

this 5.0 Ford motor is a sweet engine. Congrats to Ford for putting out such a good engine for the Mustang (and hopefully future Ford vehicles too).
