Default Frustrated With Car Modding - Advice Needed

I own a 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6-speed manual transmission. I have had a great time modding the car it's been a heck of a lotta' fun. It's reasonably fast with intake/headers/exhaust/crank pulley and I've thrown on some coilovers to slam it around 3.5 inches or so from the stock height.

Here is a picture:

Now I swapped out my Si wheels for 19" Racing Hart C2's and had them on for about a week or two, and cracked a wheel. So I'm extremely frustrated on what the hell to do at this point.

Should I bother getting another set of 19's? Stick to the Si wheels? Because I really do always seem to go back to them because of how clean they look. The only other modification I did exterior wise was all-red taillights using the red-out adhesive pieces made for an IS350. Here is a new picture of the tails:

Anyway I already have navigation/DVD player, etc. So I'm thinking at this point I'm probably either going to be done with it and just drive until it falls apart, lol. Or I'm going to throw on a Comptech supercharger.

Any advice from you S2K owners on what to do?

I'm reminded of the saying, "if you can't say anything nice..." But, you did ask for opinions... I say you should have skipped all the "modding" and just bought a better car with the $$$. CL-Ss aren't very good cars, IMO. Japanese Monte Carlos. Big, boaty, FWD coupes. So, now you've spent all that loot on your car only to be unhappy with it and to have, I suspect, significantly reduced its resale value. I'd cut your losses and go buy a better car, BMW 3-series, Infiniti G35, Corvette, STI, Evo, S2000, etc. (new or used, depending on budget).

I'm a fan of the spoiler, that would set off your wheels/drop really nicely. The oem silver acura badge on the back would class it up a little bit. Definitely go with the supercharger it turns that car into a highway monster! I would stick to the 19 RacingHart wheels they are a nice choice for the car.

I guess maybe I'm weird because I absolutely love my CL. It doesn't handle like an S2K or like my Prelude used to but overall I've been nothing but extremely pleased with the car. Great on gas, rare, and beats the majority of what's on the road. Nothing about 3-series BMW's or G35's appeals to me whatsoever. My next car from this will probably be a newer TL.

But I don't think getting further into debt with a new car is going to do much for me not to mention in Delaware with snow and all that RWD doesn't make sense.

Doing silver Acura "A" badges would probably make it a bit more classy and a bit less aggressive, that's a nice suggestion. I'm not sure that I like spoilers on CL's though, I think it looks a lot cleaner wingless, personally.

If you continue to go back to the SI wheels then put them back on. Anyway I would put the SI wheels back on them drive it until it falls apart, they look good. I would also debadge it costs about 5$ and a little time spent with the car.

Your first mistake was getting 19's on a cl...your second mistake was slamming it 3.5 inches...i'm not surprised your rim cracked...sorry to hear that though...the black badges need to be removed or replaced in silver...i think the si wheels were fine but the slammed look makes everything look......gay
