IMO it looks amazing.

when it comes to a tuner platform you couldnt possibly not want a toyota quality interior/chasis with a phat power ready subaru engine under the hood

So what makes anyone believe that Subaru would undercut sales of its own WRX with a lighter, cheaper, faster model?
Because fuel economy and msrp are going to be MUCH bigger factors in car sales than they have been for a long time starting right about now. AWD = more expensive and lower fuel mileage. Subaru would be severely limiting itself if it stuck to an all-AWD lineup. I think this car would make a great WRX replacement. The WRX has gotten WAY too bulky and heavy.

Toyota is the one missing a sports car, but they are so conservative in the NA market, I doubt they would try anything shocking.
Toyota is just bound and determined to never quite give us what we want. That they never put the hot Celica GT-S motor in the MR2Spyder to make a half-price Elise just killed me!

I would buy that if they offered that orange paint and those rims. Sexy!

Thats going to be an awesome car if it does come out. Low weight, decent power at an amazing price. This would make an awesome DD. to subaru/toyota

Damn, I'd give that a look. And a 2 liter flat, with 220 NA hp? It must make some decent torque if the redline is 6500. That sounds like a smokin' little ride.

This rumor has been going around for a while now. The only thing I would change from those specs is swap the motor for the turbo motor. Imo it makes more sense, a tuner friendly platform, they wouldnt have to develop another engine and just use one off the shelf (then again production will probably be cheaper with the NA engine as there isnt a turbo and piping). If they do put in one of their turbo engines, I'd be next up in line. The hyundai genesis coupe let me down in the weight department, but this one could potentially be the stateside silvia I've always wanted. Oh, and I hope it doesnt look like that.
