Default In gear, or out?

When you park your car for the night/time being, do you keep it in gear, or in neutral? I always put it in neutral, but I've heard that it's better if you keep it in gear. Is this true? If so, what are the positive/negative effects of either way?

Thanks

There was a discussion on this a while ago; the general consensus was the it was best to leave the car in the appropriate gear without the parking break. Some people use the parking break only or both leave the car in gear and use the brake. The problem with using the brake is that it kind bind to the rear rotor and cause damage. Basically to be safe, leave the car in gear and use the brake if you haven't been driving hard, otherwise just leave it in gear and it'll be fine.
