Default Help! Stupid Question

How do I check the oil level on a 2000 CBR 600. I just bought the bike, but I didn't get an owners manual. What weight oil does it take.

Thanks

Most bikes have a sight glass (little glass window) on the clutch housing that's marked with the usual hi/low symbols and lines. Stand the bike up and look through that window to read the oil level. As far as oil weight for that bike, I have no clue.

If you dont have a glass sight than you probably have a dipstick.
If your unsure about yourself your local bike shop will change your oil for $25 or close to it.

Thanks, I looked and I have a sight glass and the level is on the high mark. It's going in next week for a change.

Great site, thanks for the help.

God, I love this bike.
