Default Need help transporting a motorcycle

Hey guys,

I'm about to buy a Yamaha FZ6. The problem is that the bike is 2 hours away...in Elkton, MD and it needs to get to Gaithersburg MD. I have not ridden long distances and I've been off the bike for 4 years. On top of that the oil in the bike has not been changed at all (600miles 2007).

Therefore I'm looking for someone's help or input with helping me to transfer the bike.

Thanks!

Elkton is pretty close to me, I have a garage and all the tools to help you change the oil and all, and can accompany you down 95 or 70 to your house if you like....

Thank you O-turn! I do need to change oil and lube the chain before I start riding it, but I was hoping to just get the bike to my garage and take car of all that stuff at home... : /
Plus I don't feel comfortable going on 2 hour ride after 4 years of not riding

I would help you out if I had a truck.. but I don't. But really that 2 hour ride is prob the best way to clean her out and get you back on the bike.

Id tell the oowner to change the oil and lube the chain for you..

I will ride it home for you. You don't mind a few wheelies do you?

I would not worry too much about the oil.

Why are you not buying Brians FZ6?
