I have not problem with getting all those options the only thing that I am concerned with is that my $70k BMW M3s gadgets will work 20 years from now. I can still see some of the original E30 M3 rolling around once in a while. I want to know that I can do that too in the future. I wonder if Nissan will put a manual trans in the GTR?

This is really hard to argue point by point. Those who'd still purchase M3, let me tell you, they CAN'T be convinced. It's crazy how MUCH status mean to people, and there's this inexplicable feeling for those who show passion for BMW. Remember, emotion plays a huge part in selecting cars. Porsche buyers will NEVER move to GT-R regardless of its performance. With AM Vantage buyers, one would be insane to think that they'd ever even care a bit about Z06.

Personally I think for materials like cars, you can't compare each specification or whatever benefits to another car and say if it's reasonable for one person to buy X over Y like we do for other things such as electronics, furnitures, etc. Car is something you drive everyday and your feeling towards the car matters so much here. It gets as simple as "If he likes this particular brand of a car, then let him buy it."

And we find it laughable that you tell us to go drive the M when you couldn't drive it because you aren't 30. LOL I'm not 30 either, so I guess I can't take your "advice".
take my advice then, go drive it

Take a chill pill man. I'm only recommending driving it b/c those that drove it didnt give a sh!t about anything else but the drive.

I find it laughable at how so many is quick to discredit the cars performance numbers. A 3700lb car doing 73mph through a slalom is no joke. Is it not the fastest, best handling //M ever?

Everyone that is perturbed(rightfully) should go test drive one at the ''cure'' event. Its unsupervised. Just you and the steering wheel. It should give you a clearer picture.
It might be quick... very quick that is.. but the competition these days is either as quick or quicker.

That is very true. The BMW M3 was never the quickest car though. AMG's have always been faster. The RS Audi's have been faster for some time too. But its not just about outright speed IMO. The RS4, IS-F, C63, etc are making for pretty crowded room. The M3 is still holding its performance ground against all those cars though. There all fast too but the handling still isnt up to the //M's from what I've read. Neither is the driving experience. Its not like any of us reach the limits of these cars anyway...

True but every car has its up's and downs. The Lexus has reliability and interior, the M3 has the driving experience and performance, the Mercedes has a engine that produces too much power for a sedan lol and the RS4 is well... expensive and 4wd I guess.

I would be happy with any of the 4 luxury/performance sedans that are on the market... but it is hard to concentrate on the whole package with car enthusiasts because we are so focused on performance.

There are few "performance" sedans with manual transmission and AWD. Very small niche, but that's why we got one. I like the stealth factor, too.

I'd get a used C6 for the performance and plastic interior and an S4 Avant for daily driving practicality.
