Honda appears to have worked with GE on the engine. I don't know exactly what the cooperation level was (Honda design? Honda manfacturing...?). All I know is that they're saying this engine may be 30% more efficient than current private jet engines. Very fast, and very high cruise (for a private jet)

Jet engines are VERY complicated.. and probably too much technology for Honda to handle... even boing and airbus get their engines from GE or Rolls Royce... Its probably alll GE design and manufacturing.. and probably off the shelf motor they already had in their catalog...
Notice the little red "start" button on the bottom of the engine!!!

Chazmo,
I am glad you brought this up. I was reading about it but didn't know how much. It is basically 6-7 seater at $3.65mil. That is definitely an expensive jet! Now, Saab isn't the only car manufacturer that makes airplanes.
