If I have the top down, the radio/cd player become pretty much useless around 70 but if you were doing hands free (for the phone not the car) and had an earpiece, you could probably hear pretty but the microphone would probably be catching SO much wind noise I dout folks on the other end would be able to understand you......

Does anyone have a sound clip of a stock s2000 from the outside of the car? I've never had a chance to really hear it from the other end. Thanks in advance.

What a polarizing topic. I'm with you on this one Steve. Some folks are unskilled and inattentive when it comes to driving - a menace at any speed. Toss a cell phone conversation into the mix and it can become extremely dangerous. Others can multitask without problems.

I personally do quite a bit of business on the phone. I use about 1300 minutes/month on average and drive over 20K/year. All safely and without incident. Laws already exsist against negligent driving and inattentive driving. Enforce the exsisting laws for stupid drivers who cause accidents while using a cell phone, brushing their teeth, putting makeup on, reading books... you get the gist.

Thanks guys and girls. When I meant cell phone, of course I meant with the earpiece. I gotta shift ya know. But it seems like if the top is up, then everything should be okay. Hey traynspotting, are you good at manual shifting now?

I tried the speaker phone ting, but it didn't work very well at all...so I bought an earpiece...not only does it make it easy to hear who I am talking to, the mic filters the wind noise. Most people I talk to don't even know the top is down.
