Give me a grand and a gas card and I'll run it out there. That is, if it's a fun car to drive.

I bought my car from a dealer in MA and had it shipped on a "Closed" truck for ~$1000, but when it came in it was filthy, so I'm pretty sure I spent an extra couple hundred bucks on nothing. Dependable Auto Shippers was who I used.

Other thing you could do is have someone drive it out here. Buy a CA S2Ki member a 1-way plane ticket and have them drive it back.

My friend did that for his boss in a pimped out navigator (boss was a movie director). 3 day trip, NY > SoCal...said he had a blast!

I wouldn't mind either

why don't you just sell your civic and then buy another car when you get to cali?? unless you plan on continuing to register the car in NY, then you're gonna have to go through the hassle of getting your out of state car CA-certified.
