Yep -- I remember seeing it, and the name of the video is "011607_homevideo" (i.e. January 16, 2007).

Portland is in the sort of perfect storm zone for that to happen: rains mostly but if it gets just cold enough it's icetown and it'll keep falling. I've driven on icy midwestern roads before, but nothing that slick. The part of Portland that was probably in was the steep half of downtown on the west side of the river.

Hahaha.

Note the moronic SUV owners on all-seasons making bad situations worse.

And note the RWD BMW on (likely) snow tires with traction control, moving through the fray without a problem.

I went to school in portland and there was at least one good ice storm a year. Thoes were the days you just sit at home with some good beer and watch the news.

That was funny! I remember seeing a car going everywhere on the highway back when I lived in ND. It was scary ahem I mean funny!
