I did see a 68 Chevy Impala wagon at dealership in San Angelo.
427/425 h.p.
4 speed m-21
4.10 12 bolt posi rear
I'm sure the buyer of that beauty fooled a couple of people.
Have a friend that has a Dinan supercharged 540 wagon. He loves it. He likes to leave a laundry basket with a couple of shirts hanging out in the rear, just to complete the image. Lots of kids wondering what happened.

i'm in the market for a new project, well i've ran into a 2007 honda element sc manual awd
my idea:
mate a turboed tsx k24a2 to the awd tranny upgrade the clutch, suspension tweaks, and a little weight training
wanna see what you guys think, i know the realtime awd on the element sucks but that can be ironed out too
it's just a wild idea but i'm looking for tips and ideas to go with my concoction

I have exactly that in my garage right now.
2004 Subaru Forester XT manual, swapped out the stock turbo for a used stock STI turbo, intercooler, uppipe and upgraded the fuel pump and injectors. Completed with a Ecutek protune. Making roughly 290whp and 320wtq on curb weight of 3150. All done under $2.5k. Pulls like a train especially with the short 4.44 final gear ratio on the manual.
The Forester XT shares the same engine as the STI besides the turbo, intercooler, uppipe (2004-05), midpipe, exhaust and injectors.
A cheaper route that will cost under $1k is just getting a STI turbo, intercooler and Cobb AP. Everything can be found used. Though a protune is recommended over the standard Cobb maps.
Let me know if you're interested and I can point you to the right direction. The hardest part is finding a used 04-08 Forester XT in a manual. An automatic can benefit from the same swap but will make slightly less power.
Too bad I'm not Subi-savvy or I maybe could've gotten one.
