Default Lowering and the Uh OH's...need some help

I really like your guy's forums, always have, they are extremely helpful and very mature. So I hope no one minds me posting a question about by 2000 Civic SI. I want to lower it, for performance reasons, not so much looks, although I think it looks very nice. I have my struts picked out, KYB AGX ajustables, and had some questions on springs. I am almost sold on the Neuspeed Race sprins, 2.25 front, 2 inch in rear. I know i will need camber kits, and thinner tires for my stock 15 inch rims, but thats not a problem. I know with this set up, Wheel well rub will not be a problem with this setup. The thing I worry bout is scrapping. I mean a vette is that low, correct? With that drop will I be ok to drive around without ruining the car? Biggest worry is speedbumps, steep hills, pot holes, snow.

Am I over worrying, or is that set up asking for disaster

thanks, sully

But correct me if I'm wrong people....

I would say get adjustables that allow you to raise the car when you need to, ie during winter months. I have a friend here in Calgary with a lowered 'Lude that he raises back to stock height during winter

i would recommend GroundControls. the people at GC are very helpful. you can choose the spring rates that you want.

another thing to remember.. you can go too low. which will actually degrade the level of performance.

if i had to guess on a civic si, i would say an 1-1.25" front and .75-1" back would be a good starting point. this of course depends on both shock settings and spring rates.
