Mitsu Evo: Rust Problems. . .

I don't get it, if there's no rust found on the exterior surface, what's the problem?? If you dismantle parts of a car, you are bound to find some rust, especially exposed steel like that..

Its NOT bare metal if you look closely, its primered metal. And this IS a big problem.. who buys a 30k car with rust? It clearly shows rusting is occuring even at the dealership before the car is sold! I dont know about you guys but having rust in crucial safety points on my car is NOT going to cut it with me. I knew mitsu had reliability problems but rust in a BRAND NEW CAR?... not acceptable.

guys the 1st and 2nd gen Eclipses had major rust problems and those things are still on the road.

so why don't you guys start dismantaling your car and look for some. Mitsu is not the only ones that will find something if you look hard enough!!
exposed steel + elements = rust.

I know plenty of places where there will be rust on our cars.

Thats why this is so incredibly retarded. I don't think they realize that the corrosion warranty is [mostly] there to protect you againt rust eating through your paint and ruining the look of the car.

A dealership will tell you to off if you bring this to them.
