I've driven the 06 MX5 and it had really good power delivery. Handling was top notch as usual (compared to my friend's old 2003 MX5 he let me drive). I've also ridden in a 2002 MX5 which was turboed to 215whp. God that was fast. It kicked hard too. I don't think the new ones will need that much power to make them go faster... that turboed one scared the shit out of me. o.o

 

Yea, with all that power, I'm sure they'll have to go to more chassis stiffening and more standard features, bringing up teh weight. I'm sure even with the weight gain of the turbo + safety, it'll still be fast.

Seriously though, turbo Miata's are no joke, but I'd rather have an LS2 powered one.
