I vote you drive it back. If the car is on the forum, its a good sign that the purchase experience will be a good one. Not saying its garunteed but its better than ebay or autotrader. People from CO could vouch for the guy/car.

I was planning to drive home from Oregon to Delaware this summer to move my gf home. When looking for stuff to do on the way I found this topic:

His trip in an s2000 looked so fun. I asked my gf if we could sell her Mazda3, buy an s2000, ship her stuff home and then she could have my R32 and I could have the s2000 once we got home I told her the upgrade from the Mazda would be worth it She said nice try.

So come to find out..I may not even be able to get this car. My bank won't give out an auto loan for a car over 7 years old.

Driving 1700 miles is crazy. Ship it; should cost much less than $1000.

not crazy. I have done it a bunch of times. Its a blast. The last 3 cars I have bought have been driven from Ohio, Texas and Missouri to California. Always a good time.

Just drove from MN to CA total of 4000 miles (did this in under 4 days with 1 friend).... If the car is stock drive it back, I would have liked to have more time though (we had a deadline)... I would have preferred 1 week for my drive there and back
