Bboy AJ I realize I need to test drive (all but the A4 I have) and the ultimate decision is that of my own, I was curious as to what others had thought and personal experiences with these cars along with suggestions as the S2000 being a DD thanks for the input though ; )

Don't mind him, people from NJ tend to be asses (myself included).

Since you are in AZ, I would definitely get the s2k but I would invest in getting a hardtop. Also, if you're worried about vandalism, you should get a hardtop. Only because you know that your top wont be slashed and it looks good IMO.

I bought mine back when I was in college and I had no gated parking/garage, still don't in fact (shame I know, I counted three dings now <sigh>). When you move you're going to need a Uhaul anyway so why ding up your car? Furthermore, I found myself being in a better position, whenever something big needs to be moved or when the peoples wanna get together to do something, I no longer have to be the one taxiing everyone, feels nice being picked up and not feeling cheap/guilty for not volunteering to drive; I just go you know I'd drive, but it only seats one other person <shrug>.

Tempe, Arizona so no snow, access to brothers company truck if need be.
Also to ponder parking: outdoors, ungated, covered parking.
Not too bad of an area but my civic has been broken into once already.
hum...if you plan on getting the s2k make sure you get a hardtop.a lot of thievery going on in AZ.

ENTHRALLED, that is one of my main concerns especially putting any amount of money into the car which would happen without doubt. One of the main reasons why I am looking into a subaru. They are a little less conspicuous, but then again everyone owns a wrx.

weekly i put about 100 worth of groceries in the trunk, easily, or 300 worth or costco stuff, easily and i still have the passenger seat. you can live with the honda as a daily driver in that respect as long as you need only two seats...however as a college student you may want a somewhat more practical fun car like a gti, civic si sedan, even an accord, etc.

althought the honda S2000 needs only fluid changes and filters on a regular basis, most of which you can do yourself with little help or special tools, you will ned to replace tires from 15,000-22,000 miles at a pop, you cannot roatate them, the mpg runs about 21-23 in mixed use and more on trips and there is more of a risk of theft or vandalism than with a small sedan.

best of luck, and yes..if you can do it...do it...cause you never know how circumstances can change and then maybe you can't. memories are made of these...
