Drove all trucks on the market and the decision was easy. Current Ridgeline has an AWD torque vectoring system that overspins the rear half shafts 2.7% compared to the front so it handles like an awd sports sedan, oversteers through corners, etc. Very similar system to what's in my RS. Having driven everything out there including a Raptor, there was just no contest in the handling department as far as pavement goes. I got wind that all the 2020's will have ADAS on them so it forced my hand early so I just picked up this 2019 RTL AWD. Already scheduled an install for wireless carplay, full audio system, and a Compustar/Drone Mobile alarm which enables all control from the phone. Next will be the boat show in January here to find a deal on the FX SVHO I have been looking at. Truck handles fantastic through turns and I have no need for any additional towing than what the Ridgeline provides (5000 lbs). I will only be towing my waverunner or an enclosed motorcycle trailer to the track. I had the gen 1 Ridgeline and this is a significant improvement in every area. Interior is like a luxury car. Still cannot believe at how well it handles. There is some body roll in the turns but that's about it. I do wish there were sway bar and damper upgrades such as Bilstein or Ohlins. Won't be a DD, just a toy hauler,road trip machine, and weekend vehicle. Picked it up for for several thousand under invoice as my usual when buying auto/trucks. Has tri-zone climate (great for my working K9), leather, heated seats, heated steering wheel, tailgate lock, and remote start. Adding tonneau, LED headligts in additional to full audio, alarm upgrades. I think these would sell more if more people drove them. The looks and too many wanting to look "off road". My take on that is if I want to go off road or rock crawl I'll buy a Wrangler. Any interest seek out now, they are dealing harder on them now than they have since the G2 was introduced for the 2017 MY.
That looks much nicer than many I've seen. That wheel package is significantly improved over the models I've seen driving around.
To me they look good for OEM. They are the same wheels as the 2017 and 2018. I'll end up ditching them for something lighter. Canadian models should be quite similar.
I was toying with the idea of a Colorado. I really like how they look from the outside, and I prefer the exterior to the Ridgeline. But even then, the interior on the Ridgeline is VASTLY superior, the car will no doubt be more reliable, mileage is better, and it also drives way better. Congratulations, I bet it will be a keeper you will own it long after you thought you would keep it for. Those cars are hard to find. Enjoy.
Negotiation. 2 months of it. There is also a non-published $1,500 discount on them that the stealer won't tell you about. In the end just straight negotiation. They were close a month ago, far 2 months ago, it's just a matter of patience.
I would really like to use one to pull the S2000 to out of state track events, but 5k limit is pretty close to what an S2000 on an open trailer weighs. Have any of you tried towing with a Ridgeline near its weight limit?
