I'll take the AWD platform thanks, sign me up. During any inclement weather I'll be driving almost exactly the same as the dry while you are pussying it around in your 135i Your engine won't last as long either.

J/K, but just as the OP, I'm sold as well. Gotta wait for them to start arriving locally, then wait for demand to go down and I'm in like Flynn

I live in Florida Tommy. An STI's abilities would be just as useless to me as the 135i would be useless to you in the snow. You better pray that BMW dosent incorporate their new X-Drive system into the future 1 series(see X6). If they do, then thats a wrap!

Dude I was kidding. I know you lust after that thing (135) like I do Marissa Miller so it's all good

I live in TX so I don't have to drive in the snow, it ices for a few days to a week every other year but that is about it as far as winter conditions. What it does do here is piss rain, sometimes when it rains it's almost flood like conditions. Yeah those days aren't the majority, but in the S2000, on those days, I was pissed as I would have to drive granny like, and gingerly walk the car around corners, even with good tires. It drove well enough in the rain, and was predictable, but it's nice to have AWD and drive like you normally do.

I like the 135 man, it's going to be a really great car.
I just read the full test of the new EVO on Edmunds, and I will drive one of those, and give it the time of day before I decide and buy later this year. I'll drive the 135i as well but I'm definitely leaning towards the Sti as this point, very much so.

Yeah I know you were man. Living in FL it rains just about everyday during the summer. I've had Civics blow past me in torrential downpour. Any thing will be better than my s2k in the rain. I've experimented with many different tires but none will make me exude confidence. Not to mention the 180degree spin out I did going around a roundabout a few years ago! I hit the curb and the wheel was totally off-center on the way home. There is one thing I'm sure of. The STI and 135i may have their aesthetic flaws but they will do EXACTLY what they were designed to do.

**I sometimes wake up to my s2k gone by my 18yr old brother. If its wet out I go to wherever he is and get my car back.

The STI is an amazing car. I really want one but I think if I had the cash for it, I'd just pony up the difference for an M coupe.
