I really like the STI, but I feel like if it were my only car, I'd want some additional luxuries with the car. But at the same time I fear test driving it, in that I might like it too much and get one.

I'm torn between getting something like the STI, or saving up some more money and getting something like the Audi S5.

I kind of like the white 135i from the rear 3/4 view, and think it looks better than the STi. Not sure which one of the two I'd buy, though.

BTW, what's the obsession w/ being able to haul ass in the wet? AWD doesn't do a thing to help you stop any faster.
Yeah, I tested that the other night with my evo. Evo met curb...curb won!

Damn right. The 1series is no oilpainting but it looks MUCH nicer than that STI IMHO. I couldnt have an STI as on only car. It dosent look agressive to me. It looks cheesy with hose flares. They went in the WRONG direction with these cars. Have you seen the 4door WRX in person??? haha...no wonder.

I'd be much more comfy in this.

Any idea when your getting your 135i?

The tinted tail lights make the car look so much more sophisticated...European even. I think that taking some of the trim off of the grill makes the car look better too.

Lol, well let me lighten it up.

I don't like the saggy door lines. It needs a Nip Tuck!

Other than that it looks ok.

I live in TX so I don't have to drive in the snow, it ices for a few days to a week every other year but that is about it as far as winter conditions. What it does do here is piss rain, sometimes when it rains it's almost flood like conditions. Yeah those days aren't the majority, but in the S2000, on those days, I was pissed as I would have to drive granny like, and gingerly walk the car around corners, even with good tires. It drove well enough in the rain, and was predictable, but it's nice to have AWD and drive like you normally do.

I like the 135 man, it's going to be a really great car.
I just read the full test of the new EVO on Edmunds, and I will drive one of those, and give it the time of day before I decide and buy later this year. I'll drive the 135i as well but I'm definitely leaning towards the Sti as this point, very much so.

AWD is not just for snow. I live in MD and we have snow about 10 times a year (sometimes less).

But it rains about 30-40 times a year.

All my cars are awd (except the S2000) it's true the S2000 can be driven in the rain, just have to be extra careful. I expect the 135i will be less secure in the rain than the STi but still will be OK as a year round car.

the STi should be great in rain/snow (on snow tires). I love my Legacy in the rain/snow it's the best car to drive in poor conditions.

I think both cars look great! That STi looks 100x better with the red tails and black grill!

I think the best version is to outline the inside part of the tails (the part on the hatch) with red, leaving the center clear, and then make the entire outer portion (on the fenders) red.

Otherwise you guys are disappointing me... This is Car Talk, yet the GT-R has still not been brought up in this thread. OneShot did his job and dragged the 135 in here, so let's get on the ball and gets some GT-R talk going... rules are rules!!
