you want to fix the car a lot...but be much sexier, better handling, and just plain cooler get the rx-7. You like lots of muscle and torque, and easy and inexpensive modding, get the SS.

why not both. hensian(somehting similar to that spelling), they make kits to drop an ls1 motor in the 93-95 rx7's.

I'd get the RX-7. It's a very well finished and detailed car (perhaps the best Japanese GT of the 90s). I've heard varying things about FD RX-7 reliability, hald of it good, half of it bad. So I guess you'd be taking a 50-50 chance if you go with the RX-7. =/

if u have to ask, get the SS.

personally i like the twin sequential. single makes more power but i think it changes the character of the car.

The Camaro SS will be much more reliable over the long haul, at least mechanically.

Depends on how mechanically inclined you are.

I've heard of tons of problems with the RX7s and a lot of maintenance costs. I was thinking about getting one back in 2001 before I decided on the S2000.

The SS would be more reliable and its easy to mod.

Definitely go with the Camaro but why waste the extra money on an SS over the Z28?

All you get is a hood, spoiler, and some weak attempt at an exhaust system.

Go with a Z and add headers, intake, and exhaust. Put some new LCA's and a Panhard Rod on the rear and then start planning for a heads/cam job. Another good source of hidden hp is the LS1 Edit program.

Camaro = Reliable

RX-7 = Deep Pockets

The one with the better spell checker! ............... (still no slack! )

I'd go for a newer car unless your goal is to do lot's of work on the car, or have it in the shop a bunch. It's cheap to borrow money these days, get a new(er) car.

Between the two choices, I'd go with the Mazda, not because it's any better. Just because I've owned a Camaro, what POS.

I'd opt for the SS, I've driven a 97' SS with the 6-speed and factory optional Hurst short-throw kit and had a blast.
