I saw your car in the for sale section and was wondering also. Sucks you had to let the S go. I might have gone with a beater Jeep for $3k and keep the S instead of packing a big smelly dog into a brand new car, but good luck either way.

Eh. It's just a car. I can get another one anytime the urge strikes me (they're everywhere and prices are only going down). I wouldn't put a car above my dog. Doggy daycare, rediculous as it may sound, and the regular exercise she gets there may extend her lifespan, which, for big dogs, is limited enough to begin with. She also loves it and is happier having 3 days a week to spend playing with other dogs. Worthwhile trade in my book.

Truth is, I was getting sick of the S2000 anyway. It's absolutely a fun car, but I find it wearing to drive every day. It was my second S2000 (I did 30,000 miles in an '02 and just about 20,000 in the '04), and I was ready for something more comfortable on a daily basis. The noise, lack of torque, ride, and limited space made driving a chore at times when all I wanted to do was get home after a day of work. IMO, the S would make a great 2nd or 3rd car, but I don't want 3 cars now.

Oh, and Lucy doesn't smell and I wouldn't want to drive a $3,000 heap of a Jeep on a regular basis...

Its a dog NOT a child (people that call their pets their children is right up top on my list of pet peeves)
I don't know, there are plenty of kids that I wouldn't trade my dog for.

Or even a goldfish.

Wait, you sold your S2000 to buy the same model truck your wife drives, all so you can take your dog to day care? You take your dog to day care? You sold your S because of your dog? I just want to make sure I'm understanding this...

i love my wiener dog, but theres no way hell that that little bastard is going to effect any of my auto choices.

hes not allowed in the s2k by the way.

If my dog jumped up, on, or in my S2000, I'd give her away. I love dogs but they have a place in my life and that place does not include my vehicle(s).

I must have missed something.
You bought a 2nd FX for yourself because the wife could not transport the dog by herself. How is it that her 1 FX could not do the job, but now your 2nd FX can?
