Plastic window/glass window
Ok well from what i read/searched the 00-01 S2k have the plastic rear window and the 02+ has ths glass one? Is that correct?? If so is there anything bad about getting the plastic rear window?? i read alot about how ppl change the plastic to glass.. Why is this?? is the plastic that bad?? any info would help..wanna figure out all the bad/good about the different years before i buy so please help me out..

I had an '01 with plastic window a few years back. It was a drag to clean. Plastic windows can become hazy, wrinkled, creased, torn, etc. With glass, easy to clean with no worries about those. The plastic window is larger and provides better view but it folds along with the top. Obviously, glass can't fold, so they made it smaller so to fold on top and below the glass. Glass is generally preferred.

only benefit of plastic is that its a little bigger... meaning you get a little more rear visibility than glass... i dont think its a problem, blind spot visibility is the same...
I suspect Mazda's inclusion of the glass window on the second gen Miata really upstaged Honda, Porsche and BMW and effectively forced all of them to include glass windows on future models. Really, if the Miata can do it the more expensive cars shouldn't not have glass.
