I really like the mid-engined boxster. Very balanced, rev happy, torquey.

ok ok i love porsche... specially the gt3 RSR , cayman is a beauty but i dont like the panamera and the cheap boxter ... THATS ALL ... i just dont like that 4 doors wanna be and that cheap porsche convertible... but i love the porsche 911 gt3 rs , 944 turbo , 956 and the porsche gt1... i am porsche lover but i disagree with the panamera and the boxter thats all...

Porsche makes product decisions to appeal to customers, not non-revenue generating fans. Once you accept that, it's much easier to understand what they're doing.

so the cayman is great but the boxster is 'cheap.'

cayman MSRP: $49400
boxster MSRP: $45800
price difference: $3600

i don't see how that makes the boxster 'cheap' but i suppose you're entitled to your opinion.

Hey! I had one of those the second year they came out. It wasn't fast but it was lightweight, handled very nicely, gave a good driving feel, looked terrific for back then, and beat the Z and Alfa in comp tests.

So there.
