In California Only, lane splitting is legal. Motorcycles may drive between cars, but not on shoulders.

I used to do it when I was younger. Stupid. Only reason I think it's stupid now is because it's illegal so the cagers had no idea what was happening. That's like scaring a herd of cattle... if it were legal, I'd do it all day long.

even in CA alot of cagers dont know its legal. i didnt even know till i started riding.. i never got mad at them because they dont slow traffic for me.. it just looks so dangerous

In Argentina, it's illegal NOT to split lanes.

Seriously, those guys are crazy. They'll weave from lane to lane, in front of and behind cars, basically going anywhere there's a space. They're all driving scooters or 125cc or 250cc bikes so they're pretty maneuverable.
