Finally, a noob with some common sense. You'll have 100 times more fun learning on that thing than learning on the latest super-duper high tech crotch rocket. Just look at the how long to get comfy thread. That guy is not exactly having fun right now...

...that looks like a 80-81 Honda CX500-T.
Pushrods, 4valves per cylinder, and high redline. Shaft drive too. Good beginner bike. Cheap and dependable.

I just bought my 08 R6(first bike) in June and im having tons of fun. I rode my buddies CBR F3 and its a total HOG, glad i bought the 08 R6 as my first bike.

While i agree some people require a less powerful bike as their first bike, i wouldnt say it holds true for everyone. My opinion of course
