Biggest tell tale is if there is license plates in the pic and/or registration stickers.

I never find anything good. Always salvage titles, all modded and garbage.

I hate to say this at this time in history, but I bought all three of my kids their first car from estate sales. Got a 4 year old Ford Focus with 23k miles on it for $3200 and my son got a '93 Cadillac Allante(No back seat, hard to have sex in the front seat) for his first car. He really loved that car, took drives along the coast and up to the mountains. We bought our S in '10 because he got tired of loaning his Cad to his mom and dad. LOL

I have a friend who continues to buy cars from retirement communities.

The cars are as you'd expect - old, very few miles cream puffs. The down side is they are Buicks and Chryslers.
