Anyone here own or have driven a Renault Clio V6? Just curious on impressions of this car. I should've put on my "$1,000,000 Garage List" thread, but didn't really put much thought into the list... Easy come easy go....

I've been a big fan of the Clio V6 for a while. The Gardini Twingo is just not same...

 

I've always loved those. I've always been a fan of hathcbacks and they're basically the best hatchback around except for maybe the Z3 M coupe.

 

i love the looks and sound of that car, but it is not a very appealing ownership proposition. it came from the very raw, downmarket era of renault, and being based off the clio it is even shabbier inside.

that, and a local example had an asking price of near 50k usd.

if looking for a 90s thrill, im not seeing how thats superior to a cosworth, rs, integrale, or a tvr (for those in the uk)

 

I doubt it was ever intended to be superior. Rather, specifically different and non-competitive with such.

I've always liked the cars but never even had the chance to drive one. It would definitely go on my million dollar garage list now that you bring it up.

 

CG found this for me to buy about 10 years ago... same idea but the american cobbled together version... lol... jay leno has one so it can't be too horrible... it only made it about 300 miles of my ownership until something big broke in the clutch so i sold it broken...
