Default Replacement for S2000

My S2000 recently got totaled and I am due to receive the check from the insurance company of the other party soon. I've been doing some research on here and elsewhere for weeks but haven't come across any S2000s in my price range so it looks like I will have to buy another car for the time being due to time-restraints.

I've considered the Mazdaspeed Miata and the Fiat 500 Abarth so far.
If anyone has previously owned these or has any advice on other cars to look into, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hopefully I'll find my way back into an AP1 someday!

Ron

I have noted that the Fiesta ST is widely praised as a great car but I was hoping to look for a convertible (the Abarth is a semi-convertible which is why I'm considering it).

I am looking mainly for used/preowned vehicles. I'm looking to stay under $16k and most of the S2000s I've come across at that price area have more miles than I'm comfortable with. Though there was a great example posted here recently that I would've definitely bought but was sold this week.

I would continue looking. You should be able to find s2000's in that price range. Perhaps you should look into traveling.

Fiat Abarth C is what I'd buy in a heartbeat! They are a hoot. I use to drive the 500 a lot and thought that was a blast. The Abarth is just cool. Engine and exhaust are great. Looks amazing, real panache and you can drive it like you stole all the time. Convertible... Go for it!

Don't settle for what you don't really want.

As a fellow Corgi enthusiast/owner, I am inclined to agree with you Mosesbotbol haha

While my heart aches for another S2000, Progressive is only paying for a rental car until the end of this weekend and I need a car to drive to work and school. My brother has a car but unfortunately it is stuck back in Miami and has mechanical issues that have been pending to be fixed so I have no access to another car. Ideally, I would wait to find another one but my current situation doesn't allow me.

These two cars are the main candidates to look at this weekend. What are you guys opinion on them? I think the Fiat is a great deal at the price/mileage while the MSM seems a bit overpriced but the previous owner did make significant mods.
