RS4 or E90?
I've been riding the coat tails of BMW for quite some time waiting for the e90(2)M3 to arrive....
Along comes the 414hp RS4..... Well....do you think it can compare? Do you think BMW is a step behind on his one? Has Audi finally produced a reliable "M" beater, or is Audi's notorious performance problems going to rear it's ugly head?
I'm in the market....... please discuss.....educate me....

I can assure you that the picture of the E90 you have is beyond fake.

A little info on the RS4..
4.2-liter V8, 414 horsepower, 311 pound-feet of torque
redline until 8,250 rpm.
Six-speed manual, self-locking Torsen center differential and driver-adjustable throttle control and you've got a Euro sedan that will wipe the asphalt with an M3.
recalibrated suspension that lowers the car just over an inch, wider front and rear tracks, a heavy dose of bodywork and unique double-spoke wheels.
All RS4s get Audi's Dynamic Ride Control system and a pair of 14.3-inch brake rotors up front.
A starter button, metallic pedals and lightweight sport seats with inflatable side bolsters round out the cabin upgrades.
And the M3 E90
BMW is expected to follow up with an all-new M3 shortly thereafter. Power will come from an all-new 4.0-liter V8 with roughly 400 horses and a quick-shifting SMG transmission. No word yet on whether it will incorporate some of BMW's more advanced features like Active Steering and Active Roll Stability, but its going to need all the help it can get with a car like Audi's RS4 to contend with.

Between the RS4 and the E90 M3, it's going to come down to weight of the two vehicles as to which will be fastest. My money is on the M3 being the better of the two, unless you live in snowbelt land.

the e90 m3 when it comes out will be superior to the rs4, despite its lacking of the rs4's superfluous high tech components. even with its 414hp and 311lb-ft torque, i'm guessing the rs4 isn't any faster than the current e46 m3 that possess a measely 333hp and a lot less torque. just imagine the e90 m3 with 400hp, a lot more torque, 8500rpm redline, and a 7-speed SMG transmission, but weigh merely 200lbs more than the outgoing e46 m3, and you have a recipe for some serious speed. as for handling, bmw vehicles will always continue to improve. the only disadvantange the e90 m3 will have, compared with an rs4, will be performance in slick conditions.
