Default RUF CTR3

link

[I]Get thee to the UAE. Later today, the Porsche tweakers at RUF will introduce the company's new Porsche Cayman tuner, the CT3, at RUF's new plant in the United Arab Emirates state of Bahrain. The CT3 gets its new lightness from aluminum and carbon-fiber body panels, and employs the same powerplant as RUF's 911 RT12 rocketship -- that is a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo flat six producing 700 hp and 656 lb-ft of torque. Word is, the a seven-speed sequential automatic will put power to road. Top speed is projected to be in the fleeting neighborhood of 224 mph. What price madness? Figure

RUFs never look like generic kit cars. Wonder from where they are getting that transmission? BMW?

RUF gave a nice slap to the iconic 911 by choosing the functional mid engine package over the iconic rear engine package for their flagship vehicle.

Very damn impressive. I also wonder where they're getting this 7-speed sequential automatic?

Looks a lot like a baby CGT to me. That's a good thing!

I can't imagine how quick it is. I wonder if it's very twitchy? The Cayman has a pretty short wheelbase and with that kind of power on tap, it's got to be pretty tailhappy.

Amazing machine. Styling strangely reminds me of a bodykitted third-generation MR2.
