You're only 16? Geez! When I was 16, I didn't care about cars. I was happy to have a bicycle.

Ehhh, I got a fourwheeler when I was 10 and was set free in the tricounty area =P. So after putting thousands of miles on that i guess it's just natural I like cars.

I suppose I'm going to go and get a job here in the next few days. That will bring in a paycheck around 250 every 2 weeks. So 500 a month. Plus 2k for birthday. I'm out of school in May. So i have about 4 months to work and get money. So 2k for that. which leaves me at 4k. I can then take and sell my fourwheeler for another 1,000 and hit my papaw up for between 2k and 4k.

So I'll have between 7-9k in cash. I can get between 6k to 7k out of my car. So that leaves me with 13-18k if i work my tail off by may.

haha i just now started thinking about that, The s2k is becoming more realistic every day!!! =)

I suppose I should just stick with that plan, however I get greedy and want to make more money(eclipse and rx8 examples).

If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have put so much money towards getting nice cars. I'd take that $13k-$18k and invest it all if I were you. One car now, or any car later?

But I know it's almost impossible to accept wisdom when it requires denying gratification in the near future.

Save for the S2k... It's what you want plus the RX-8 sounds pretty shady. Plus have you ever driven an RX-8? I thought they sucked in comparison to the S2k. Really didn't have any fun driving it, very disappointed.

Anyway, Save save save... I'm perfect example why. I've wanted an S2k for 4 years now. In that time look at all I've "settled for" and played around with in the 4 years. (In my sig). Now, still no S2k, or anything fun to drive for that matter nor am I any closer to owning a S2k.

GoodLuck.

Save yourself the hassle, and save up for the S. You sound like you're young, live it up, and get a convertible.

Buy the car. Don't listen to these old geezers. You're only young once
