Need your suggestion on this
I had an unfortunate incident recently.
It appears something fell on my rear bumper, and burned the paint right down to the plastic. So now I have a pencil head eraser size black spot where the paint and gloss coat is gone.
Now I am trying to sell the car as I need a larger car.
I have tried repairing the spot, but its not the best repair job. Its alot tougher than I thought to wet sand and fix a damaged area.
Should I leave the spot as is,
or should I have it resprayed, the entire rear bumper. I dont want to run into any paint not matching issues.
What do you guys think. Also any suggestions, to repair the spot with out repainting the entire bumper cover? How would this little imperfection (small understatement) affect resale value when I trade it in, or sell it?

Get an estimate of what it would cost to do the repair and then deduct that amount from your asking price and show the interested buyers the paperwork. That way they have a choice. ... That's what I would prefer if I was a potential buyer.
