tunervision: dont waste your time or ours with this kind of question. if you honestly believe an RSX or a Jetta is more of a sports car than the S2000, good for you and good for them. less ignorance in the S2000 community to worry about. as you can see, we're not really stunned or shocked by the fact that people think the S2000 is slow; jealousy and envy make people think and say stupid things.

in the end, they can say whatever they want. doesn't matter to me. ignorance is only cured by a good sound beating, which i'm sure any S owner will be happy to hand out.

Uhh, in regards to the first post, he is probaby right if the jetta had a few mods, and the Type S rus around 6.8 0-60 mph, so I could see with a couple mods, it would beat an S2k.... If they were all stock, the S2k would undoubtedly win, but a WRX may be another story... In all honesty, I have driven passenger side in an S2k, and it is not that fast straightline, high 5's usually, or low 14s in the 1/4 mile with a good driver, if you want a fast car straightline, get a vette or an M3, but around the corners, watch out.....

Ok thanks for all the opinions guys.
I really appreciate it.
I've been to this one s2k forum before[actually i couldn't find it again, so while i was searching, found this site],
and usually s2k members are very nice and respectful. I guess its because most them are not young teenagers like RSX forum.
There is flame ALWAYS on rsx forum. Kids just think Type-S is the fastest car in the world. Many different brand car owners go to that forum try to straighten things out. thats what i wanted to do. I wanna slap those people who talks shit about S2000!!!

but anyways. So S2000 has good gains on mods? I've never seen a heavy S2k tuner, except a VERY few.
Saw this one guy with spa yellow comptech-supercharged s2k. Im assuming gains aren't that great as high-compression ratio cars aren't very good for forced induction..

Just wondering what the fastest s2000 is? and what they can pull with mods?

Of course, the more mods and $$$ you put into a car, it could probably pull faster times, but I would rather take the money on an S2k and a million mods, and put it into an M3 or something like that....

The current FI systems offered for the S2k use a centrifugal supercharger. There isn't enough room under the stock hood for a Roots or twinscrew blower. They provide significant hp gains, but mostly in the top end. If you like the powerband of the stock S2k, I believe you'll like that of the FI'd S2k even more. Drag racing an S2k would be akin to taking a F1 car to the NHRA nationals - why?

If you are fortunate enough to live somewhere with interesting roads (eg hilly areas away from land-grant roadways) the S2k would be in it's element and ownership would be a blast. IMHO in the "cornfields & stop signs" midwest, ownership would be less engaging. I live in the hilliest part of Chicagoland, and I've sold my sportbikes.

YMMV.

Tuner Vision, the fastest mods so far on the board are the turboed S2k's. I believe they are running in the 12.6's, followed by the SC'ed S2000's running high12's-13 flat. Apparently about a 75 shat of nitrous is the max that has been run on this car so far. Haven't seen any turboed S2K run with a 40-50 shot yet.

If all you want is to go fast in a straight line buy a new WRX STI 4.8 to 60. 1/4 mile 13.0 These numbers are straight from EVO magazine.
