I highly highly highly highly highly highly highly highly highly doubt the S2000 was designed to be a marketing wonder. They made it for Honda. Besides, just because the American market is lazy and wants their 911's and Corvettes in automatic while the rest of the world relishes a manual doesnt mean Honda should bow down to the McDonalds generation. Besides it only had 1 cup holder, but that hasnt stopped the car from selling.

I think the fact that the car only came in manual is one of the best things about the car, I hate seeing auto sports cars and people buying them. Unless they have a physical condition no one should be driving a automatic sports car, it's just wrong. You see tons of 350z's on the road because they came with an auto, it's nice knowing that our car is more of a drivers car, more raw, a real sports car.
