That's on the regular Crossfire and at speeds above 55 or 65, not entirely sure. The SRT-6 has a permanent wing.

It's only important if you are happy. I do believe in the long run (depending on how long you keep it) it will cost you the same or more than the s2k in maintainence. I have a friend with a 150k mile s2000 who's only don't routine maintainence.

Other than that, great purchase! Now you can commute in style and still have the ablity for some nice spirited driving.
I agree about the whale tail wing. I hated it on the 911 Turbo and I don't like it on this car either. I wish Chrysler had simply kept the neat little pop up spoiler that deploys at speed. I think one of the car mags pointed out that the base coupe has a top speed of 152 mph while the SRT6 is software limited to 156 mph and it therefore seems unnecessary to add the big wing for a 4 mph difference. When the base wing is stowed you'd never even know it was there and that preserves the clean shape of the boat tail.

For a little more, I'd aim for a CL55 amg 2003-2006. Maintenance is a little more but 493 ponies!

Nah, I'm not looking for the fastest car on the road. I just want something at a reasonable cost for daily driving but still fun to drive and look at. And I have a real soft spot for the looks of the SRT6. My kids also tell me I seem to have an attraction to obscure cars. They may be right, Alfa GTV6, Alfa Milano Verde, Merkur XR4Ti, Supra, 05 GTO, S2000, Crossfire. Not exactly mainstream high volume cars.

The roadster may solve some of that though

If the srt6 came with a 6spd I would have seriously considered it over the s2000. But in your situation I may have done the same thing.

Hi Christople, the Caterham was hands down the best car car I've owned in terms of visceral feel however I got rid of it because I wasn't comfortable pushing the limits of such a crazy car. It really was just a 4 wheel motorcycle. Aside from that, in terms of regular mass produced vehicles, the S2000 is a great compromise. I know most people don't look at it that way but it is better than average in almost all performance categories while maintaining daily drivability. The other cars I've owned may have been more fun or thrilling in a specific area but nothing is a better complete sports package in my opinion.

I'm not quite sure I'm qualified to provide a useful opinion but light, nimble cars with sufficient HP are my cup of tea. Thanks for asking.

How much is " for a little more" to you? Those CL55's are a good $20-30k more than the OP spent on the Crossfire!
