The RX-8 is a fun car to drive. Not many people here have actually driven one but they'll chime in with opinions anyway, Mr. 0 day GUEST.
fixed.

i drove an auto with shift paddles. yes it felt VERY WEAK.

i have sat in the back seat and honestly it wont fit an adult very comfortably, pretty tight fit.

overall nice car though.

the rev2 of the RX-8 has many new parts to address reliability issues of the engine. I almost got one but I found a good used S2K for way cheaper.

RX-8 has a hardtop, which means no soft-top tearing or similar worries. S2K is faster in the straights. It really depends on what your priorities are.

I like the idea but 18mpg is laughable. No thank you.

Depending on the year there's a huge difference between an automatic and manual RX-8. The Autos had 48 less HP and a lower redline due to weak torque converters.

Either way I still say S2000 hands down.

The RX-8 is a great car. Fun to drive and offers a lot of utility. I'm shocked any S2000 would bash it, considering the similarities.

(Just kidding. Did you see my S2KI Age? I'm not shocked at all with all the inferiority complexes on here)

If by hardtop you mean, it's not a convertible, then yes. That's correct.

I've driven one before. It feels like a cushier, weaker, S2000 coupe. It gets horrendous gas mileage( a Corvette makes more than double the power and gets better mileage) and the motor is designed to burn oil.

I may sound like I hate it, but I don't. Handling is similar to an S2000, it seats four, and it's a blast to drive on a tight course. If I needed a four-seater I'd probably get one.

i'd take one anyday if i had a need for more than 2 seats. I've driven a couple and they do handle similarly to the S2K (BMI test have also said the same thing BTW) though they do lack power.

i like the r-magic kit for that thing. SnowPLOW:

But if its not a Civic or other Honda product it can't be good. Nevermind the fact that Mazda has been and always will be the better sports car manufacturer with great product, factory support, and a great aftermarket.
